Summer Camp «BALTIC GUARDS 2015»

PROGRAM
Organizer of the summer camp: Recruitment and Youth Guard Center, Latvia
Involved structures:

- Tourism Information Center (TIC);
- Jelgava District Youth Council;
Information about the „Baltic Guards 2015” camp:
- duration – August 10 – 14, 2015;
- according to daily schedule – daily with overnight;
- according to lodging – camp outside premises;
- according to participation –closed (limited to invited participants);
5. 144 participants (youth in an age group from 14-18 yrs):
- 30 – Estonia (Kodututred un Noored Kotkad); 2 instructors - supervisors and 2 for the management group;
- 30 – Lithuania (Šauliu Sajunga); 2 instructors - supervisors and 2 for the management group;
- 30 – Latvia (Jaunsardze); 4 instructors - supervisors and 2 for the management group;
- 20 cadets from the UK; 1 instructor and 1 for management group;
- 14 cadets from Kaunas (Gen. Povila Plehavica Cadet School); ; 1 instructor and 1 for management group;
- 20 youth from Jelgava district; 2 instructors - supervisors and 2 for the management group;
- Participants of the camp will be distributed in 12 teams. 12 participants will compose each team consisting of all participating country representatives.
Objectives and tasks of the camp:
- To organize military games for youth;
- To uphold regional identity;
- To forge cooperation network and exchange of experience among participating countries;
- To develop leadership skills;
- To improve awareness and knowledge about international, regional, and national security matters.

Arrival of guests
|
There will be a registration for the camp upon arrival. Instructors will introduce camp participants with area and overall rules. Supervisors will have to submit the requested documentation* to the camp executive. |

Elaboration of teams, election of team chair
|
There will be one instructor per team which acts according to a duty plan. Camp participants will be divided into 12 international teams with participants from every single country in each team. Teams will be numbered. After division of teams is finished, all teams will be summoned in a field with 12 yard sticks representing number for each team. All teams, when such an order is given, are requested to proceed to the field. |

Requested documentation*:
- Primary health care provider (doctor’s) reference which is not older than 10 days: acknowledgment that there are no preexisting health conditions that could restrict participants to participate in physically intense activities. Reference must include information about vaccines (tick encephalitis is a mandatory vaccine). Should there be any chronical diseases camp organizers should be aware (allergies, necessity for special medication or catering), camp organizers must be informed about such conditions.
- Permission from parents – Permission from parents to participate in the camp (standard form will be delivered in advance by organizers);
- LV participants – contract with parents, EE and LT participants – contract with legal representative of state team.
